Claire Ann Resop, U.W. 1993, has joined the Madison office of 
Brennan, Steil & Basting S.C. as a shareholder, concentrating in 
bankruptcy, including creditors' rights, corporate clients, litigation, 
collection, and real estate. She also is on the panel of Chapter 7 
Trustees for the Western District of Wisconsin.
Charles V. "Buck" Sweeney, U.W. 1985, has become a partner 
with Axley Brynelson LLP, Madison. He practices environmental and 
construction law.
Jeffrey J. Serum, U.W. 2002, has joined the Minneapolis office 
of Fredrikson & Byron P.A. in the real estate group, focusing on 
acquisition, development, construction, leasing, and financing of 
commercial and residential properties. He formerly was a real estate and

Gross, U.W. 2001, has joined the intellectual property and 
litigation teams in the Madison office as an associate. He focuses on

drafting technology leases. Richard Lewandowski, U.W. 1978, has 
joined the Madison and Milwaukee offices as a shareholder in the 
environmental regulatory practice area, focusing on surface and ground 
water issues and contaminated property remediation. He previously was in

The Legal Aid Society of Milwaukee has moved its downtown

Yost & Baill LLP has opened a Wisconsin office at Suite

Gov. James Doyle to a five-year term on the Wisconsin Retirement Board.

Steven F. Gruel, U.W. 1985, received a California Lawyer 
Attorney of the Year award in March for his work in investigating and 
prosecuting members of an organized crime group, a prosecution that will

Francisco, concentrating in criminal defense, immigration law, and civil 
rights litigation. He previously was a federal prosecutor in San
