Thomas G. Aridas, Marquette 1997, has been appointed 
chief administrative law judge of the Illinois Commerce Commission, 
which regulates all Illinois telecommunications, electric, and natural 
gas companies.
Boxer wins Posner Award for community service
 Barbara K. Boxer, Marquette 1994, has received the 
Posner Pro Bono Lawyer of the Year Award from the Gene and Ruth Posner 
Foundation. "Earning money and community service are not mutually 
exclusive, and pro bono work bridges the perceived differences," said 
Boxer, who is a shareholder and cochair of the government relations 
department at Reinhart Boerner Van Deuren S.C., Milwaukee. She is vice 
president of the West Side Health Care Association and a board member of 
the Medical College of Wisconsin Digestive Disease Center and instituted 
the Medical College's Pro-Am Charity Golf Tournament. She is on the 
boards of the YMCA, the Jewish Home Foundation, and the Friends of Hoop, 
and is a member of Lt. Gov. Barbara Lawton's Steering Committee for 
Wisconsin Women's Prosperity.

Susan K. (Lale) Bickford, Marquette 1997, has become 
Equal Employment Opportunity manager for the U.S. Army Reserve, Fort 
McCoy. She previously practiced federal labor and employment law for the 
Department of the Army at the Fort McCoy Legal Office.
Ann K. Bloodhart, U.W. 1994, has been named manager 
of the Minnesota Attorney General's Office Charities Division, which 
maintains files on all registered charitable organizations and trusts, 
investigates claims, and takes corrective action for director breaches 
of fiduciary duties, conflicts of interest, and solicitation fraud.
Kenneth P. Casey, U.W. 1970, has joined the U.W. Law 
School Remington Center as director of the Criminal Appeals Project. He 
previously was with the Wisconsin Public Defender Office.
Robert J. Diaz, U.W. 1993, has joined the Cleveland 
office of Hahn Loeser + Parks LLP as an associate, focusing in 
intellectual property litigation.
Julie A. Enloe, Marquette 1994, has been promoted to 
senior vice president at Jacobus Wealth Management Inc., Milwaukee. She 
provides fiduciary-related services, including income, estate, and gift 
tax analysis and formulation of strategies for clients' personal, 
financial, and tax goals and gifting programs.
Daniel J. Evans, Illinois 1998, has joined Reuter, 
Whitish & Cole S.C., Madison, concentrating in municipal law, family

Gillard Jr., Marquette 1996, have formed Brodek &

small and medium-sized businesses and health care providers. Brodek 
focuses on employee benefits, tax, corporate, and health law. Gillard

of the Association of Labor Relations Agencies (ALRA), the professional 
association for neutral governmental agencies that administer collective 
bargaining statutes in the U.S. and Canada. He is a mediator with the 
Wisconsin Employment Relations Commission and is the first staff-level 
professional to be elected president of the ALRA.
Hon. Charles B. Schudson, U.W. 1974, a judge on the 
Wisconsin Court of Appeals, has been elected president of the board of 
directors of the Wisconsin CASA Association. Wisconsin CASA (court 
appointed special advocates) recruits and trains volunteers to assist 
abused and neglected children in judicial proceedings.
Robyn S. Shapiro, Harvard 1977, has been chosen by 
the Food & Drug Administration to serve on its Drug Safety & 
Risk Management Advisory Committee, advising the food and drug 
commissioner on safety, efficacy, abuse potential, and risk management 
issues concerning drugs intended for human use. She is a partner with 
Michael Best & Friedrich LLP, with experience in bioethics, medical 
staff, health information privacy, informed consent, regulation and 
licensing, employment, and other business matters.

Eric Strobel, Minnesota 1991, presented a speech on 
insurance coverage for toxic mold and other toxins to the annual meeting 
of the Construction Law Section of the Defense Research Institute. He is

Eunice Gibson, U.W. 1973, presented "Volunteers in 
Public Service" at the 21st biennial conference of the World Jurists 
Association, in Adelaide, Australia. She retired in 2002 as Madison city 
attorney and has lectured on state and local government issues at the

Stephen J. Meyer, U.W. 1979, has been certified as a 
criminal trial advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. He is

Godfrey & Kahn S.C. was chosen for a nationwide 
"who to call" list of advisers for financial institution mergers and 
acquisitions, published by Bank Director. Godfrey & Kahn is 
the only Wisconsin law firm on the list.

were named to Milwaukee Magazine's "Top 75 Lawyers" list in

environmental lawyer in Milwaukee, is the team leader of the 
environmental and energy law practice group, focusing on mediation and 
litigation of environmental disputes and energy contract negotiation.

on mergers and acquisitions and business and financial planning.
Michael Gotzler, U.W. 1997, competed in the 2003 
Ironman Wisconsin in Madison in September, finishing with a time of 10
